of MSME, have announced a new credit linked subsidy
Programme called Prime Ministers Employment generation
Programme (PMEGP) with the objective of generating
employment opportunities in rural as well as urban
areas of Madurai Distric. Through setting up of
new self employment Ventures/Micro enterprises
and to increase the wage earning capacity of artisans
to increase the growth rate of rural & urban
employment. The scheme will be implemented through
Divisional director, KVIC., Assistant Director,
KVIB and General Manager, District Industries
centre in rural areas. In urban areas, the District
Industries centre only will implement the scheme. Under this scheme, the activity of mandufacturing, servicing can be started by availing financial assistance through Nationalized Banks, Co-Op. Banks and private Sector Scheduled Commercial Banks
